Study permit clarification for current international and exchange students

Over the past weeks, you may have read about changes to the study permit program in Canada. We want to reassure you that these changes do not require any action from you at this time.

International students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at McMaster University are not impacted by the new study permit process.

We encourage you to connect with a member of the International and Exchange Student Experience team at iese@mcmaster.ca if you need support. We also provide in-person drop-ins, located in MUSC B118:

  • Mondays, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
